Gnarly Head Pinot Noir 2009

"This wine caught me off guard. I had at first expected a giant, one-dimensional fruit bomb. At this price point that would normally be the case. But, the good folks at Gnarly Head have produced a well structured, nicely balanced Pinot Noir with notes of red fruit and hints of old school Burgundian earthiness. Not super complex but this wine blows away some of its higher priced competition."
