Château de Montfaucon Côtes du Rhône 2008

Just across the Rhône river from the esteemed vineyards of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, this 88-acre estate is owned and operated by Rodolphe de Pins, a UC Davis graduate and former member of the winemaking staff at Domaine du Vieux Telegraphe (in Châteauneuf).

The wine is a blend of classic Rhône grape varieties which include 50% Grenache, 20% Syrah, and 15% each Cinsault and Carignan. It has been fermented and aged in concrete tanks only, without any influence from oak barrels.Enjoy this lovely wine now and over the next several years with a variety of dishes, including roast pork loin with sage or roasted rabbit with wild herbs.
